January 2008: Kim Crouch
	Age: 36 Location: Detroit, MI Occupation: Attorney Status: Married Children:2 Kim Crouch believes that change happens one person at a time. The attorney and former reporter released her debut book last year: Mother To Son: Words of Wisdom, Inspiration and Hope for Today’s Young African-American Men in an effort to lessen the struggles faced by so many African-American men. The book provides a primer of the lessons that African-American mothers must teach their sons to be successful in a racially motivated world. Kim is currently working on her second book and her first documentary: Not My Son, which looks at the cycle of violence rampant in urban America. In addition to writing, Kim currently hosts, The Whole Truth, a radio show that discusses legal issues affecting the African-American community. The Whole Truth can be heard every fourth Sunday as part of the Update Show, which airs on WLKF 1430 AM out of Lakeland, Florida.
1. What is your biggest accomplishment? Giving birth to two wonderfully amazing boys, who I hope will be inspired and motivated to use their time and talents to better mankind.   2. Name your favorite movie. Platoon. Blood Diamond, Constant Gardner. I love movies that make society reflect upon the type of civilization it really is and wants to be. 3. Describe your personal diva style. It’s exuding confidence in who you are and valuing all that you are. I love things, items, clothing and jewelry that showcase my individuality. 4. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received? If you can dream it, you can do it. 5. You look mah-valous! What is your secret?? Allowing my inner radiance to shine externally. But I also love beauty products from Dermalogica and Carol’s Daughter. 6. What's one dream you look forward to having come true? Seeing a movie I write appear either on the big screen or premiere at one of the well known film festivals. 7. If a movie were made about your life, what actress would play you and who would be your leading man? Angela Bassett. Will Smith! 8. What 3 adjectives would your best friend use to describe you? Passionate, Confident and Determined. 9. What makeup/beauty essential can you absolutely positively not live without? Foundation and lip gloss! 10. What’s playing on your CD or MP3 player right now? India Aire 11. What is one thing you wish more people knew about you? That I love to have fun and that I’m not so serious all the time! 12. What, in your opinion, is the formula for success? Recognizing that success is not the key to happiness but that happiness is the key to success and that if you love what you’re doing and you work hard, you will be successful. 13. What motivates you? The desire to make a difference and knowing that my children will inherit a better world because of that difference. 14. Complete this sentence: "One year from now I would like to...
