What is your biggest accomplishment?
I had the honor and opportunity to be a foster parent for four and a half years to a beautiful little girl. I raised her from the time she was 11 months until she turned five and moved back with her grandmother. I feel this was my biggest accomplishment because I knew that I wanted this child to have a solid foundation before she left. When she reunited with her Grandma she already knew how to read and write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide and she knew the entire multiplication table up to the number 12. She had learned all fifty states and their capitals and the scientific terminology for the bones and muscles of the body. She and I made learning and homework a priority. I taught her reading, writing, and arithmetic, but she taught me patience, the honor of sacrifice, and gave me the opportunity to love unconditionally. She was truly a blessing.
